WARNING! BED BUGS! I booked this hotel based on all the very positive reviews on Booking.com. The price was very reasonable for a week's vacation, and I had no reason to suspect a scam. Until we arrived... The room on the 3rd floor we were given reeked of bleach. I found this odd, but I checked the room's condition, and it at least seemed clean. We aired it out. The room was very small, with a tiny bathroom and a ceiling covered in yellow stains. For a three-star hotel, that's really unacceptable! (The shower curtain clung to our bodies because of the lack of space.) There was an obvious ventilation problem: we woke up sweating almost every morning, and it was unbearable without the window open (which faced the main road—you can imagine the noise!). Two nights later, I started getting bites. I was terrified, but I thought it might be an allergy, since my daughter, who slept in the same bed, didn't have any. I managed to stay awake for a few more nights, then I consulted a local pharmacist who had no doubt! They were definitely bedbugs! I contacted the hotel management. Everyone was very understanding, embarrassed, and apologized profusely. They moved us to a different room for the last night—this time we were on the fifth floor, in a well-ventilated room, where we were finally able to get some sleep. They also offered us two drinks at the hotel bar as compensation. This didn't change the fact that I returned home with suitcases that were probably infested and covered in bites. And to top it all off, during the last breakfast at the hotel the next morning, we discovered that our original room had already been rented to new victims! It's such a shame, our vacation was completely ruined. Avoid at all costs!

The location is perfect. Acropolis is so near. There are many restaurants and pubs. Lively area. We reached quite late at night but Athens was alive even at that time. The reception is 24x7. The room was balcony was fantastic. It was quite big and had all amenities. We had a nice view of Acropolis. The staff is friendly and helpful. Breakfast is fine and a decent spread. Wish it had chicken options though.

Ideally located 5 minutes from Monastiraki Square. Rooftop with moderately priced cocktails (€4-7). Comfortable rooms. Room 606 is exceptional for its direct view of the Acropolis. We stayed in 605 and the side view was very beautiful 🤩 Ask for rooms on the 6th floor facing the street for the Acropolis view. Good breakfast. An ideal stay in the heart of Athens.
