Bahia Plaza Hotel

Beautiful hotel, comfortable, clean, extremely polite and attentive staff. To be perfect, the showers need cleaning; the showerhead is completely out of adjustment, spraying water everywhere. Otherwise, I give it a 10/10.

Wonderful hotel, unparalleled restaurant, it's a shame that the beach they say is right on the sand isn't... you have to walk for about 10 minutes to get there, I didn't even see it because I was on crutches and couldn't go there or rent a bike to go. Otherwise it's a comfortable hotel, but if you don't ask for a pillow they don't send one and if you don't ask for a blanket they don't send one either, or they send the wrong one as happened, for a couple they sent the bedspread that covers the bed which is thin and doesn't keep you warm at all.

There's a lack of good management! I went for a day pass that I had already negotiated everything for, including paying in full via WhatsApp, and upon arriving at reception there was no record of my reservation; I had to explain everything. It seemed like I had to prove that I wasn't trying to break into the hotel or scam them. Arriving at the pool area, I found everything neglected. A careless aspect. Dirty and messy tables and chairs, besides those that were closed. It had everything to be a good place to relax, with all the greenery around, but the hotel doesn't care much about making the environment pleasant. The pool is okay, but old, with some tiles already fallen off the edge, needing maintenance. The playground (which belongs to the condominium and not the hotel) was one of the things we enjoyed the most. The beach, although not beachfront, is close, easily accessible, and is a good beach. Having the option to lie in hammocks is also nice, although there are few. Changing rooms are okay. But all of this would be forgivable details if it weren't for the all-you-can-eat buffet lunch included in the day pass, which for us was the weakest point. There was no variety and the food was poorly prepared. Chicken and fish were full of skin, the "escondidinho de carne do sol" (a type of shepherd's pie) didn't look like sun-dried beef at all and seemed more like a casserole of offal mixed with a bunch of other things, and there were no other meat options. Even the desserts weren't good. In short... very weak! The sports courts are good and the girls from the children's recreation area are also nice. The children's snack after recreation was equally bad. A nearly burnt and oily pastry. We were celebrating a birthday and the cake, which had also been arranged to be picked up at the restaurant, was a struggle to get. The employee went back and forth to the kitchen about 4 times trying to figure out which cake it was, which also had an artificial flavoring taste. To summarize, if it weren't for the access to the wooded and well-preserved area with a beautiful green space in the Busca Vida condominium where the hotel is located, and the condominium's park, which saved the day, it would have been disappointing because the hotel itself seems abandoned. Many employees, sometimes even well-meaning, but very unprepared.
