My wife booked us for a stay on 13/3/2026 with a restaurant meal that evening and a spa treatment each the following morning (the 14/3/2026) at 11am. Today (the 13/3/2026) we were called to ask if we could come in 10 minutes early for our spa treatments at 2pm. They even sent out a hasty reminder email with the different date and time than we had booked. We have the original confirmation email from back in December 2025. It isn't acceptable to change peoples bookings without even the courtesy of asking. We cancelled the whole visit. Won't be trying again to visit.

On our second stay at the hotel, we noticed a lack of service due to the increase in guests as the hotel had now introduced a spa. The major issue however was, the fire alarm going off at 03:33. With the siren located inside the room, the noise was truly frightening. No staff could be contacted in either person or by phone. Nobody knew what was going on or how they should react. After approximately 10 minutes the siren stopped. People made their way back to their rooms, still unsure of what was happening. I couldn't rest after the shock and was up for the rest of the night. I must add, I had a major heart issue seven months previous and felt quite unwell after this. Now, I know these things happen, but here are my two big problems with this. When I spoke to reception in the morning and asked for some form of explanation, I received none. The whole issue was brushed aside. The second issue is, when I googled this, I found that this was an ongoing issue that had not been resolved. Other guests have had the same issue on their stay. Three questions. Firstly, why hasn't this issue been fixed. Secondly, why are paying guests not informed this may happen. Thirdly, if the hotel knows this may happen, why do they not have enough staff to inform and calm the guests when this does happen. I think, if what I have said is correct, it is disgraceful that a hotel should treat it's guests in the way. I will not be staying there again.
