My partner and I stayed at this hotel for four nights. On our first day, I informed reception that the heating wasn't working. When we arrived that evening, no one had checked anything, and I had to call again. On several occasions, they told me that the heating was turned off in that room, but it still wasn't heating properly. A third time, I called again, and the maintenance person insisted that he had done it correctly, but we told him that it was still cold even though the heating was on. Finally, reception called to confirm that they were changing our room. We spent a couple of hours without being able to rest properly, and then they changed our room and weren't even able to help us move. In short, the staff were very distant.

The hotel itself is beautiful, our room was incredibly spacious, and the rooftop bar has incredible views and very tasty drinks. The staff were very friendly as well, and for a more inexpensive hotel, we were happily surprised to be offered champagne upon entrance, and to see a free bottle of wine in our room. The only thing not ideal about this hotel is the location. It is a little bit of walk away from some touristy spots, but if you’re someone who prefers to uber or enjoys long walks it should be fine. The area also has a reputation for being somewhat “sketchy.” Truthfully, I can see why the area may make certain travelers a little nervous, and did experience catcalling while leaving the hotel, but nothing that I haven’t seen before in other major cities. One of those situations where you should be fine using your wits and common sense, but something to potentially keep in mind. Overall, for its price I think this hotel is incredible value for money, and I recommend if you’re not intimidated by large city shenanigans.

Do NOT STAY THERE!! Avoid at all cost!! I paid 675€ for 4 nights, and this stay was a total disaster. The room was physically dirty—we found stained linens and the fixtures were in a state of decay, including an oxidized, rotting mirror in the bathroom. For a "design" hotel, the lack of maintenance is shocking. The TV was non-functional for any modern use (no casting/streaming), and the staff was incredibly rude when I pointed this out, dismissively telling me "every room is like that." The area is extremely concerning. The immediate street outside is filled with loitering and very suspicious activity that made us feel unsafe every time we entered or exited the hotel. There is a heavy presence of people who clearly do not belong there, and the atmosphere is high-tension and unpleasant. Most importantly, when I tried to exercise my legal right to the official "Hoja de Reclamaciones" (complaint book), the staff refused to provide it—which is a violation of Spanish law. This hotel is poorly managed, dirty, and located in a very "edgy" area. Avoid this place; your safety and hygiene are not worth the 168€ a night.
