This was our second 10-day stay at the Barcelo Tequise Beach (our first was six years ago in 2019), and we've been drawn back to Lanzarote time and time again. We had such wonderful memories of the hotel, and not much has changed, except for a few minor things that I'll mention here, but which won't affect our rating because our stay was fantastic once again. This time, we had a room on the upper floor with a view of the Lanzarote hills, the sea, and the sunset (amazing!). The room was larger than in 2019 and again featured a whirlpool/hot/cold tub with a gentle whirlpool function. The room was in excellent condition, and the bed was very comfortable. The food and breakfast are still top quality, with a huge selection that sometimes made it hard to decide what to order. The Asian section is still a real highlight. The staff is so friendly; you're always greeted upon arrival and asked how you are. We had a waiter named Ali who always puts a smile on your face. Simply lovely and attentive. You can tell how long he's worked at the hotel and enjoys his job. The rooms are also very cozy, especially the Spanish-style room. The Asian section is sometimes a bit too chilly 😉. Here are three more comments: At breakfast, please no canned fruit, pineapple, or peaches. The rest is fresh! Offer salad at breakfast (we've seen this at other hotels). At dinner: Check the plates more carefully; not all of them were always clean. The pool area is one of the most beautiful we know. A large, long pool surrounded by palm trees, small white stones, and black tiles. The pool is in excellent condition. A small note: The waterfall wall—in 2019, all three waterfalls were working. This time, only one worked during our entire stay. The lights in the evening weren't all working, and the color was always the same, unlike in 2019. The entertainment was a bit more extensive and louder than in 2019, but the young woman was never pushy. We mixed sangria and mojitos with her, which was really nice and fun. I especially enjoyed the infinity pool with its amazing view in the mornings, swimming a few laps before breakfast. One small point: The bubble lounger in the infinity pool didn't work even once. That shouldn't happen. The lighting, unlike last time, was always the same. These little issues with the pool's features shouldn't happen, but unfortunately, it's common in hotels where things aren't taken care of. I just looked at our photos from 2019, and everything worked perfectly then. The hotel is very clean, and the prices (half-board) are quite reasonable (of course, the supermarket is cheaper). The cocktails are very good, and my wife had a massage again, just like in 2019, which she really enjoyed. We were very satisfied again and will definitely come back (maybe in 2027). For us, no other hotel in Costa Teguise would do, and no other place on Lanzarote would do. These minor issues with the pool's features are unacceptable. It would be nice if you took the comments to heart. Until next time 👋

The rooms need some maintenance. Our wardrobe had a door that was off its hinges, and the bathroom vanity had several chips in the paint. The food was very repetitive and not very elaborate. During dinner service, it was almost impossible to have a conversation because the waiters would start setting the tables for breakfast while people were still eating.

A Truly Fabulous Week at Barcelo in Teguise Beach. We recently returned from a fabulous week-long holiday at this hotel, and our experience truly exceeded expectations. It was a stay defined by exceptional service, fantastic dining, and wonderful amenities. The entire team deserves recognition; the staff were universally attentive and accommodating, making us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. As half-board guests, we were constantly impressed by the dining. The food choice was amazing and everything was great tasting. The accompanying drink selection was more than adequate, featuring some excellent wines, all of which were very reasonably priced. The pools and amenities were great, offering plenty of space to relax and enjoy the sunshine. Although we did notice some people reserving sunbeds quite early, we personally didn’t encounter any issues securing a comfortable spot by the pool throughout the week. Our room was perfectly adequate and spacious, providing a comfortable sanctuary. We must admit to having a slight chuckle over the slightly quirky design choice of having a hot tub situated right next to the bed, but it certainly added a unique element to the space! Overall, we had a fantastic stay and would certainly love to frequent a Barceló hotel again based on this experience. Highly recommended!
