Barong Resort and Spa

This is an older hotel. Very spacious. But it does need some TLC.

First of all, we could have privacy which was very good. The room is decent size and it was very nice to have own pool. I could heal my body from hot and sweaty daily weather. To avoid tons of liers and massage sales and ripping off people maybe staying inside of villa is the best way. I had a look on bed mattress and it was clean and no bed bug mark or anything. I was bitten by mosquito just once and they seem clean the room and make sure there is no mosquitos in the room( I also did mosquito protection by myself, too ) If you hate bugs, this villa is not good. Please have a look on video I attached. Small bugs are always inside of the villa. And I saw big house roach once ( I run away and it left to outside from the back door ). And I also saw small mouse was running around behind the kitchen area outside, not inside of Villa. This must be quite usual thing. The bed has mosquito curtain so you can make sure your sleeping area is secured. There was a big gap between doors and floor so there is no perfect guard from bugs in here. If you are a person who does not mind small thing, it is ok. Breakfast is sometimes small amount of food and nothing is very special, minimum and simple breakfast,there is no surprise. But juice is fresh squeezed juice which is nice. TV is not working but nobody cares maybe. I wanted to do some daily body exercise with using TV so had some issues but could handle it with my iPad. Heard monkeys might come to the villa and I was expecting it so much but finally never could see any of them..... Bit disappointed. →on the last day in the morning, I heard big noise on the roof and they were monkeys. they look bit scared so tried to not scare them and baby monkeys camE to me say hello, it was lovely. They asked food but I,had nothing in the room (I finished room service fruits last night ). I feel so sorry for them.... so they don't come to here daily but sometimes like once in 5nights, they might visit your yard. There is a bar next door so we could hear the music everyday till late like 23:00( today is Tuesday and now it is 23:00 but I still could hear it clearly ) so if you need to sleep well and like quiet sleeping hours, you need to make sure that you can book quiet room. The pool covered small issues. Not the best but I was ok. Towels and bed linens are bit shabby maybe it is time to renewal them. I thought some of towels are for toilet cleaning( looks so grey and dirty look but they are all washed so there is no problem to use, just looks dirty) Hotel people are nice. Had no problem with them at all. PS.... Sorry to say this but breakfast bread tastes so bad, that is the only one thing I can not ignore. Good tasty bread can bright everything so please consider to offer people more nice bread. And please exchange these dirty cushions to the new one, seems never been washed and I don't want to see them on a bed. And I don't　want to touch them.

Highly recommended, the rooms are clean, the food is delicious, the service is friendly, I stayed 3 nights with my office friends while controlling the construction project of Warung Nasi Ampera Celuk Sukawati, the 2nd branch of Warung Nasi Ampera after Jl Teuku Umar Denpasar.
