Hotel is old and need a revamp!

A very nice place, the rooms are large and the service is good.

A terrible experience. From the beginning, there was disorganization, incorrect information, and a complete lack of response. They didn't answer emails, WhatsApp messages, or calls. We had stayed there the previous year and had a good experience, so we requested the SAME ROOMS and booked four rooms for a total of 48 nights, right in the middle of peak season, paying very high prices in full three months in advance, only to receive a disastrous service. They confirmed and charged us for a room category that wasn't the one we were given. During our stay, we had to change rooms TWICE, without any consideration for the fact that we were traveling with babies and children and had requested rooms close to each other. The air conditioning didn't work for two days, there were no mosquito nets, so we had to sleep in the sweltering heat without being able to open the window. They forgot to clean some days (literally, "we forgot to clean the room"), and when they did clean, there was still dirt left: sand, crumbs, and ants. Towels were missing, shampoo wasn't replenished, and basic requests were ignored: pillows, a crib (requested repeatedly before and during our stay), and removal of down clothing due to allergies, even though we had informed them by email prior to arrival. The suite they advertised as having a view of "our gardens and parks" actually faced the street and lacked mosquito nets, a basic amenity. We wasted hours of our trip trying to resolve errors caused by the hotel itself. The final response was to downplay everything and present as "benefits" what we had already paid for. They offered lunch on arrival day, even though we had already wasted more than two hours figuring out where to sleep, meaning some members of the family couldn't even have lunch. There was no manager. No one took responsibility. We would agree on a solution, and hours later they would deny it. I do not recommend staying at a hotel with such a lack of internal organization. For Christmas dinner, they charged USD 65 per child to serve only breaded cutlets with potatoes. A disaster. They did not compensate us for the inconvenience or the wasted time. Complete lack of management, service, and respect for guests. I do not recommend it.
