Basin Park Hotel

Came upstairs to the restaurant and they were very rude and not professional. We were walking around with our two-year-old son and our nine-year-old daughter and they slammed the door in my son and daughter‘s face acting very hostile and scary. We will never come back there again.

Prime location to stroll in any direction among all the shops, restaurants, and clubs. Delighted with a room having a separate room with couch, chair, armoire, and TV. Bedroom was spacious with a king size bed, 2nd tv, 2 side tables and a chair but only a view of rooftops. The mattress was comfy with plenty of blankets and comfortably controlled temperature. Jacuzzi tub for 2 was very nice and lots of towels. Lack of lighting and counter space. Took off a star because they need a couple of updates: USB ports, bathroom mirror is mounted above eye-level, need additional lighting in bathroom or a designated space for doing makeup and hair. Concierge was very helpful, front desk people were fairly nice but minimal personality, getting luggage to hotel was a hassle but seems unavoidable because it's in the middle of town where there's limited short-term parking (of course others take those and don't move). Don't expect any help getting luggage inside or to the room; no one will lift a finger to help. Lastly, the smoking area outside on 4th floor poured down the hall and into our room because the door was propped open...and unfortunately my service dog was strictly denied from me visiting the outdoor hottub and sitting area per the sassy woman working at the spa (Jan 12).

I would like to thank the Basin Hotel for their kindness to my niece. Last April we booked her and her fiancé a room for her birthday during the Steampunk festival. I let you know that she had cancer and you went above and beyond. She loved her stay. You made her last birthday a very special one. Thank you.
