Baymont by Wyndham Creedmoor

Do yourself a favor, and don't stay here. On initial entry and check-in, nothing particularly alarming. Very strong smell of curry and food when walking to my room on the 2nd floor. Previous reviews were not kidding about the presence of birds being kept in the hallway. It appears that some of the housekeeping staff is (permanently?) staying in some of the rooms - no idea on the legality of that, but that's where the smell appears to be originating. In my room, strong smell of food remained. Rooms were recently renovated, but sloppily done. Room was not cleaned well, excess dust and debris could be found on shelving and tabletops. Bedsheets were literally damp, and the A/C was not sufficient to reduce the temperature or humidity to an acceptable level. Bathroom was dirty and had a silverfish in the bathtub. At this point, I was fairly disgusted. My breaking point was that the Wi-Fi was not working. The man at the front desk was completely unconcerned, insisting that it worked, despite me demonstrating that it wasn't working on both my phones (even after restarts). At this point, I checked out - I have never checked out of a hotel early, let alone the same day I checked in. I was told to expect a refund for the second night. The most ridiculous part of this is that I have been unable to receive a receipt for my stay, let alone the refund. The same man who checked me in is borderline belligerent over the phone, insisting that the "manager" can only send the receipt and issue the refund. Forget about the refund at this point - ARE YOU SERIOUSLY TELLING ME YOU CAN'T JUST SEND ME A RECEIPT? You are a joke, and this hotel should be shut down.

$100 deposit! Hilton/IHG hotels would never!

My stay at this hotel was absolutely wonderful from the moment I arrive. The staff greeted me with warmth and professionalism, making me feel right at home. The room was spotless, spacious and very comfortable with all the little details throughout the bed was cozy and I had a great night sleep. The amenities were top-notch everything from the lobby to the dining area felt well maintained and welcome. The breakfast was fresh delicious and I also appreciated how quiet and peaceful the atmosphere was what really stood out to me was the exceptional customer service. Every staff member I encountered went above and beyond to make sure I had what I needed. I will definitely be recommending this hotel to friends and family, and I look forward to staying here again every month when I travel from Philadelphia to Creedmoor, North Carolina.
