Everything was a bit old, but there were two convenience stores across the street with excellent service, and they even had promotions for Chinese New Year. Unfortunately, Malacca's transportation infrastructure is extremely inconvenient for pedestrians; otherwise, the location of this hotel would be perfect.

Where should I start? This is advertised as a four-star hotel, but honestly it feels closer to a two-star experience. On the positive side, the parking is free and located on the rooftop, which is convenient. The lobby is spacious, and the front desk staff were very polite and professional. Check-in went smoothly without any issues. Unfortunately, the room was very disappointing. It looked extremely outdated, like it hasn’t been renovated since the 1990s. The room was dusty in every corner, and the TV speaker was broken—the TV clearly needs replacing. The bed was extremely hard, almost like a rock. I woke up with neck and back pain, which completely ruined my rest. The toilet was not properly cleaned, with visible hair still present. There were also no complimentary slippers, which is usually standard in hotels. The only acceptable part was the water pressure, and at least there was hot water. I ordered room service, and the staff who delivered it was very friendly and welcoming. However, the food did not meet expectations. The fries were overcooked, and the green apple juice was served in a plastic cup, which felt very cheap for a hotel of this rating. The chicken chop was good, but the satay was disappointing. The breakfast buffet was the biggest letdown. The food selection was very limited and not appealing at all. I couldn’t even finish my meal. The roti canai was the only decent item. The coffee provided is only the basic one; if you want cappuccino or latte, you have to pay extra—which honestly feels unreasonable. Guests also have to take their own cutlery, and the breakfast staff were not very pleasant. Overall, this stay was not worth the money paid. I truly regret booking the room with breakfast. Most hotel guests look forward to breakfast, but this experience was a major disappointment. I would not recommend this hotel based on my stay.
