Be Live Adults Only Marivent

We stayed at the Be Live Adults Only Marivent on Cala Major beach. The beach itself is truly beautiful, and the hotel's direct beach access is a big plus. The bus connection is also convenient; for just €2, you can get directly to the center of Palma. The hotel is advertised as a 4-star hotel, but our impression was more like a 2- or 3-star establishment. The first room had several issues. The towel rack in the shower was broken, the toilet wobbled, the windows leaked, and we could clearly hear conversations and televisions from the neighboring rooms. After complaining, we were able to change rooms for an additional fee. The new room had a sea view and was somewhat quieter, although a few things were still broken. The main positive was the reduced noise from the street and neighboring rooms. The double beds consist of two single beds pushed together with separate mattresses. This creates a gap in the middle, allowing the mattresses to move around, which significantly reduces sleeping comfort. Many things are closed during the off-season, including the pool. For this reason, we felt the price was rather high. The hotel advertises itself as adults-only, yet we repeatedly saw children under 18 in the lobby and at breakfast. The breakfast also fell short of our 4-star standard. While there was a wide selection, the quality of the food was underwhelming. We canceled breakfast and instead used good alternatives in the area. In conclusion: Great location right on the beach and good connections to Palma, but significant drawbacks in terms of room condition, quietness, breakfast quality, and the advertised adults-only concept. With improvements, the hotel has great potential.

We stayed 31 nights and 1 morning, 3 people, 2 rooms. I'm giving it 3 stars for the views, the staff, and the buffet. I'm sorry, but I can't give it 5 stars for the rooms. It's a good thing we only stayed one night because the rooms aren't what you'd expect from a 4-star hotel for what they charge. The furniture was broken, the curtains were half-hanging and dirty, the bathroom door (glass) had loose screws about to fall off (a hazard), the thermostat dial for the heating was simply removed, the heating didn't work, the balcony doors weren't double-glazed and didn't close properly, there was no shampoo in our son's room, I had to call reception and they brought it up, and when he turned on the tap, water came out of everything except the shower, so in the end he couldn't shower in his room. That said, the only redeeming qualities were the staff at reception, the cafeteria, the dinner and breakfast buffet, and the... The quantity and quality of the food is good, but the rooms need more attention to those details; if they correct them, it will be a 4-star hotel.

The hotel's fantastic location undoubtedly deserves 5 stars. However, the hotel building is in dire need of renovation. We had a room with a sea view, which was very inviting in January. The double bed was comfortably furnished with plenty of pillows. The heating worked perfectly, as did the TV with German channels, the refrigerator, the room lighting, and the hairdryer – everything was perfect. The wardrobe, with its safe and sturdy hangers, was also adequate. The restaurant is furnished with comfortable tables and chairs, but we missed having a pleasant atmosphere with music and decorations. The food was tasty but somewhat monotonous due to a lack of creativity. A major drawback was that, for a day stay, we were allowed to book neighbors (locals) and then a group of about 10 people held a party in the adjacent room at 2:30 a.m. It's unacceptable that a 4-star hotel would allow groups of guests to stay for just one night, assign them rooms, and be completely unaware of the party. Another shortcoming of the management was that our room was forgotten by the cleaning staff on the first day, although they apologized. All in all, we left satisfied after our 5-day holiday. Feedback to management: Work carefully, maintain and standardize existing qualities, include and correct deficiencies in the checkup list, and do not accept day visitors (of a local age group) who are primarily interested in partying.
