Beachside All Suites Hotel

They said they would email check-in instructions. They didn’t. The “office” was about 2-1/2 blocks away in an unmarked building, and the address was nowhere. Indeed, the hidden clue in the middle of a web site sends you 5.1 miles away. They don’t answer phones. Agoda is just as bad. Calls drop after 30 rings. Then they told me my prepaid confirmed room was given away at 6:00 pm, and they wanted me to accept a room 6-7 blocks away. I refused, and, after 30+ minutes of the obsequious clerk apologizing, suddenly there had always been a room. They then insisted I pay 50% more than the hotel charge for an undisclosed “resort fee,” which they admitted is included when you book with someplace other than Agoda. It was not disclosed by Agoda. There is no resort. The room itself was fine if you don’t mind aging, peeling laminated floors and well-maintained 70s-ick porch furniture. Avoid like the plague!

I stayed at Beachside in December, I was charged a $100 deposit my deposit was never returned. I have emailed them several times with no reply. I also called them and spoke to a receptionist and was told management would call me back and have not recieveda call back. Its been 90+ days and I am still waiting for my deposit. Its unfortunate that they have a nice hotel but lack of response from mangement will lose me as a customer.

I unfortunately did not have a good experience staying here. One thing to be aware of is that the hotel location may be subject to change between their sister properties, and this is not clearly disclosed until after booking. Directions between locations are also hardly explained by staff, which can make things confusing when you arrive. The property itself felt poorly maintained. The stairs were extremely small and felt like a tripping/safety hazard. Both TVs in our room were not working during our stay, and the toilet in our room was also not functioning properly. We attempted to contact staff about these issues and also requested extra towels, but the hotel does not answer their phone. Instead, they provide a number to text, which apparently cannot receive responses. Our requests were never addressed in a timely manner, and the toilet was never fixed during our stay. We only ended up getting towels after mentioning it directly to a housekeeper. The front desk staff was also not very welcoming. When we first arrived we were told we were too early for check-in, which was understandable, but when we returned later the front door was locked with no note or explanation. Overall the staff came across as rude and unhelpful. The room itself was very outdated. Appliances looked old, the toilet paper provided was very cheap, and there was no hand soap available. We also noticed cracked floor tiles, small holes and cracks in the walls, and stains on the ceiling, which made the room feel poorly kept. Another thing to note: if you book through a third-party vendor, you may still have additional resort fees due upon check-in. I witnessed this happen to a guest in front of me at the front desk, so it may be best to book directly through the hotel’s website to avoid surprises. The only positive aspect of this hotel is that it is located within about a mile of the beach. Other than that, I would personally not choose to stay here again.
