The hotel is beautiful, the staff are very helpful and incredibly kind. Ideally located near St. Marco Square. The only downside is the terrible bedding. The bed creaks with every movement and the mattress seems to have lost its springs. It's fine for young people, but if you have back problems, beware.

We spent four nights at this hotel. My review should be considered in the context of a 3-star hotel. This hotel is an excellent choice: - for its location, 5 minutes from Piazza San Marco and 100 meters from a vaporetto stop (direct line from the airport with Alilaguna's orange line) - for the friendliness and professionalism of the staff - for the incredible breakfasts (various hams, eggplant, zucchini, artichoke hearts, roasted peppers, hard-boiled or scrambled eggs, or even fried eggs upon request, sausages, chicken, meatballs, various cheeses, yogurts, fruit, pastries, organic cereals, etc.). The €18 breakfast allowed us to have brunch and save on lunch (don't miss the Suso ice cream and/or a slice of pizza). - Very clean room - Exotic local Venetian style The only downside, which is why I didn't give it 5 stars: - Rather small room - Minor details like peeling paint on the bathroom door and a torn TV cable - A ventilation system that kicks in when the bathroom light is turned on, so powerful that it creates negative pressure in the shower drain, causing unpleasant odors to rise but disappear as soon as the water runs (not sure there's much they can do about it...). In short, a very good experience overall.

Don't be fooled by the reviews. It's a 2-star hotel maximum. Old and full of mold. We found a humidifier in the room because the smell was horrible due to mold and humidity. For the price paid, it's truly a disappointment. Shameful in every sense. The receptionist was arrogant and even a little racist. We definitely won't be returning. For €200 a night, it's truly appalling. We were more than disappointed. The photos on booking.com certainly don't reflect the current reality. Shame!
