Benikea Hotel Haeundae

Great hotel with natural hot spring water in all rooms and spa.

This hotel's charm lies in its hot springs, which exude a local atmosphere. The room was spacious, and the ondol heating system was automatically turned on, making it almost too hot. The temperature could be adjusted using the pillowside remote. Wi-Fi worked without any problems, and all rooms are non-smoking. Two complimentary bottles of water were provided. Hot spring water is also available in the guestroom showers and sinks, but the hotel's greatest attraction is the large hot spring bath. Daytime bathing is available for 10,000 won. There is also a sauna and cold bath. Towels are available for unlimited use, but you must bring your own shampoo and soap. Please note that you will be warned not to shower yourself and wash your body and head before entering the bath. There seemed to be a fee for using the hair dryer, so I used it after returning to my room. The atmosphere felt more like a local public bath than a "hotel bath." There were people chatting on the edge of the bathtub, and some even doing backstroke in the cold bath. In the men's bath, there were even people playing shogi in the changing room. The sauna is open until 9:00 PM (last entry at 8:20 PM). After informing the front desk of your room number and requesting sauna use, you will be given a ticket with a common number for both your shoe locker and locker. You must enter within 10 minutes of receiving it. Even for two people, there is only one key, which can be a bit inconvenient when using the bath. Check-in is self-service and can be done at the kiosk at the front desk. You are required to enter your phone number, which I wondered how they would handle if you didn't have a SIM card with a phone number. The front desk staff were not particularly friendly and didn't smile much. Some staff spoke English, and there was no Japanese support, but there were instructions in Japanese. There are two elevators. The hotel is conveniently located within walking distance of Haeundae Traditional Market and a nearby bus stop. It was a quick bus ride from Seomyeon. Blue Line Park Mipo Station is also within walking distance. You can also charge your WOWPASS at the Marriott Hotel across the street. This hotel is perfect for those who enjoy a local atmosphere and hot springs.
