On weekends, the hotel feels overcrowded for its size. The large public bath is small, and the number of private baths is insufficient. There's no sense of luxury anywhere in the hotel.

I stayed here for one night over the New Year holidays. It was very conveniently located near Beppu Station. Since I drove, the hotel's parking was expensive, so I parked in the coin parking lot behind the hotel. For dinner, I arrived late and the izakaya I wanted to go to was closed. I went to a nearby izakaya, and the food was delicious. After dinner, I returned to the hotel and looked at the hotel guide I was given upon check-in. I noticed a coupon for the izakaya I had just eaten at. Upon closer inspection, I realized it was for a free drink. If the front desk had just mentioned it at check-in, I could have used the coupon. Since the day I stayed was over the New Year holidays, there were a lot of foreign tourists using the hotel. They had both hot springs and open-air baths, and each bathroom was separated, so you could use them without worrying about your neighbors. However, the foreign tourists' manners were quite bad, so it wasn't very relaxing. Breakfast was a buffet, but the variety was plentiful and delicious. I'll definitely stay here again if I have the opportunity to visit Beppu again.
