Beautiful 5-star property I keep coming back to. Each room spacious, clean, and beautifully appointed and with a fireplace for chilly nights.

Everyone at this property is incredibly welcoming and attentive. The setting is beautiful, and it’s clear they’ve thoughtfully designed every part of the experience to make your stay feel special. Don’t miss the yoga—Destyne is an excellent instructor and her classes are a highlight. And a special shout-out to Sara at the restaurant/bar, whose service was outstanding. Both are wonderful examples of the exceptional staff throughout the property.

We recently stayed at this property with high expectations, especially given its two‑key Michelin distinction. Unfortunately, the overall service experience fell short of what we anticipated from a luxury hotel. Upon arrival, there was no greeting from valet or staff, and no offer to assist with our luggage or vehicle during check‑in. While the valet team was helpful once we asked for help directly, the lack of initial acknowledgment set an unexpectedly poor tone. Additionally, no one provided an introduction to the property or explained in‑room amenities such as the minibar, which we would have appreciated. Dinner was mixed. While the crab cakes and steak were excellent, the octopus was underwhelming, and the cocktails were overly acidic and had to be returned. Service during the meal felt inattentive, which detracted from the experience. Breakfast the next morning followed a similar pattern. We waited quite a while before being greeted or offered coffee and water. However, Antonio, our server, was a standout—warm, attentive, and genuinely committed to great service. His hospitality was a highlight of our stay. Unfortunately, the breakfast offerings themselves did not meet the standard we experienced at other properties during our trip, such as Solage and Post Ranch Inn. The spa was a bright spot as well. Suzi provided an exceptional facial, and her professionalism and skill were much appreciated. The most concerning part of our stay occurred at 9 p.m., when someone entered our room using a key while we were in bed. We attempted to contact the front desk twice with no answer. When we reached dining, we were told the concierge team would call us, but no one ever followed up. This incident left us feeling uneasy and was handled without the urgency or communication one would expect from a property of this caliber. Overall, while the room itself was beautiful/clean and certain staff members delivered excellent service, the stay lacked the personal touches, attentiveness, and consistency that define true luxury hospitality. For the price point and reputation, we expected a significantly higher level of service and engagement. Based on our experience, those seeking exceptional service may want to consider other options, as the value here did not align with the standards typically associated with a property of this rating.
