Best Front Maritim

Just as I sometimes don't understand the overwhelmingly positive reviews a place receives, in this case, at least based on my experience this week, I don't understand the overwhelmingly negative ones. The hotel is renovated and its facilities are quite new. Room: updated, good bed, good shower although not very large. The space at the desk is a bit awkward because of the refrigerator underneath. But it does include two free bottles of water. Kettle with all kinds of teas and coffees. Very quiet. Cleanliness: everything was spotless. Service: very attentive. Breakfast: the usual 4-star fare. Spacious lounge with plenty of natural light. Very well-equipped gym. I stayed less than a year ago at another hotel of the same category very close by, and it was older and less well-equipped.

The hotel's "good" overall rating is solely due to its good location; the other reviews are based entirely on our experience – never again! We checked in late on Sunday. Thanks to one very friendly employee, the reception was still perfectly acceptable. Unfortunately, that was the only positive moment of our stay. Even in the elevator and hallways, we were greeted by a pervasive smell of decay – absolutely unacceptable for a supposed 4-star hotel. Add to that the ancient vending machines that were so loud that you could hear the humming in the surrounding rooms until late into the night. Upon arriving at our booked room with a sea view, a cockroach immediately crawled under the bed. We were tired and didn't want to complain right away, but we should have. The cleanliness was simply catastrophic: Splashes on mirrors, doors, walls, and the floor Sticky floor Hair in the shower, clearly not ours Dinner was another disappointment – based on the photos, we had expected a varied buffet. Instead, we got: Vegetables completely overcooked Salad apparently the same for days, limp and unappetizing Pasta overcooked Meat tough and dry In addition, there were clear hygiene deficiencies everywhere: Plates still dirty Glasses smeared Cutlery with food residue A layer of dust over the buffet that didn't change for several days, even after we visibly wrote in it A bottle of still water was placed on the table without a word – no request, no attention. The second evening was the absolute low point: three more cockroaches in the room. Disgusting! The reception offered us a room change, but only a downgrade without a sea view. This room, too, is far from clean, but at least it's free of vermin. An apology? Not a chance. An offer of compensation for these massive deficiencies? Also not a chance. As "compensation," we now don't have to pay for parking—ridiculous considering the garage is otherwise empty. Water is dripping from the ceilings throughout the hotel; there are buckets in the hallways and basement, and mold is visible in various places. We are deeply disappointed. We have stayed at several Maritim hotels before and have always been satisfied. This hotel, however, is an absolute disaster. The hotel's response to other reviews, claiming they are "trying," is meaningless. Clearly, NOTHING has been improved. In short: This hotel is an outrage. Unhygienic, noisy, unfriendly, and definitely not worth four stars. We will never return!

The worst rooms and expensive, it doesn't deserve a star. I think it's very expensive and the rooms are very small.
