Best Western Glasgow Hotel

Rating: 5/5 Stars – A Literal Lifesaver! After a nightmare experience with our original accommodation, we ended up here and honestly, it felt like fate. The staff went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and settled after a stressful start to our trip. The room was fantastic and the location couldn't be better. You could pay double at a higher-starred hotel and still not get this level of service. We can’t rate the team highly enough—thank you for saving our holiday!

My partner and I stayed here this past weekend and we are FAR from happy with our stay. We left for a few hours during the day, and while we were out the staff had turned off the heating in our room. We went down to ask about it and they said that when they went into the room nobody was there so they turned the heating off to our room at reception. We had left the do not disturb notice on the door so they had absolutely no reason for going into our room and this feels like a huge safety and security risk, so don’t go here if you value your privacy because you might not get it! Thankfully we were out at the time but we felt so unsettled after that. Both of the windows in our room were broken and when we asked the staff to come and look at it, they said there was nothing they could do because “that’s a daytime job that could fall down and hit somebody”. There was no care given at all to us by the staff who came up and saw the broken windows, they simply closed the blinds and left. They were stuck open for two nights and it was windy and rainy so we were absolutely freezing. They didn’t switch our rooms or anything, all they did was give us another blanket which they made my fiancee carry up to the third floor herself. They didn’t even apologise for the inconvenience of having to stay in a freezing cold room. My partner and I both have disabilities where staying warm is a requirement so this ended up causing us physical pain as a result of how cold our room was. While the staff were in the room they knocked over my walking stick and just left it on the ground, walking over it on the way to the door and not even apologising, luckily my fiancee was there to pick it up but if I had been on my own that would have been a huge issue and I would have been left without a mobility aid that I need. It was such a stressful, cold and disappointing stay and the lack of empathy from the staff at our complaints was completely out of order. Absolutely do not go here, and if you’re unlucky enough to get room 320, request a change if the windows are broken. Take an extra £100, as they’ll charge your card it before you get your room key for “pre-authorisation”.

Room nice I had problems with bed mattress softer than am used to and pillows firmer. Room nice and warm
