Somewhat dated hotel, but with neat rooms, excellent staff and a decent breakfast at reasonable prices.

The hotel is located in a historic district surrounded by embassies and consulates, and the Peace Palace is a 10-minute walk away. The rooms are small, and unfortunately, the bathroom fan didn't work, resulting in a very unpleasant, even foul, smell for the first two days; we had to open the windows for ventilation. The windows are single-pane and not sealed, so they were a bit noisy facing the street. The heating had to be turned up high to keep the room warm, which wasted energy. On the plus side, there was Nespresso available, and the staff were very friendly.

Spacious, clean room with a good, firm bed, but far too noisy at the front with its single glazing. The window frames seem too narrow for double glazing, but even simple secondary sashes seem like too much of an investment? A bit of a shame, I'm familiar with this austerity policy from Fletcher, but not from BW. The reception staff were friendly, though.
