I had a wonderful weekend at this hotel, close to the sea and the Carré d'Or city center. The hotel is very quiet and has parking available. Daniel and the entire reception team were incredibly welcoming. Room 116 was magnificent, spacious, comfortable, and quiet. The breakfast was very varied, with gluten-free options—a rarity these days! Well done and thank you! 🙏 I highly recommend this true 4-star hotel.

After 3 nights in this hotel, my experience was very mixed… The good points: - The bed is large and comfortable - The breakfast is adequate - The staff is friendly - Good location (central) The bad points: - Not soundproof at all… a real shame! (For example, during the day we could hear – with the window closed – the construction work in the building opposite, or even worse, the neighbor clearing his throat at 7 a.m.) - The toilet paper is very thin for a 4-star hotel - The room is damp because the bathroom ventilation wasn't working (unfortunately, you can feel it as soon as you enter the room) - The toilet is right next to the sink (not practical if you're over 5'3") - The shower is nice but absolutely impractical; you get water everywhere (the bathroom isn't very big) - The shelf in the bathroom was barely hanging on. My aunt tried to put a towel on it, and it came loose on one side… (glass shelf)

I always find myself very understanding when it comes to those who work in the tourism industry. Having worked in this field myself, I know how difficult it is to maintain certain standards. When I go to a hotel, I don't pay attention to the size of the room, whether the furniture is old, whether there are cracks in the walls, etc. I only look at one thing, and that's cleanliness. Unfortunately, as soon as we entered the room, we noticed that there was water on the bathroom floor because the toilet was leaking. We then noticed hairs on the floor and on the door, along with a few stains. At this point, we began to look more closely at the bathroom and also noticed that the toilet paper had been used half-used (disgusting), the toilet smelled of urine (even more disgusting), and, to make matters worse, the sink was clogged. At that point, we decided that this was enough and went down to reception to complain. At reception, a very young man greeted us and very kindly and promptly cleaned the bathroom. After that, he sent us back to his bosses the next morning. In the morning, our room was changed, and this time we were given a better one (though the toilet paper problem still persists... absurd!) This helped the hotel gain some points. Although, strangely, the staff, since they changed our room, have become colder and more aloof. I'm sorry for the low rating, but for a 4-star hotel, this is unacceptable. I've stayed in 2-star hotels that were cleaner and more welcoming.
