A bit modest on the outside but the inside is fantastically nice. Almost everything felt newly renovated; floors, walls, doors etc. The bathroom was maybe a few years old but still nice and well maintained. Double elevators meant that you hardly ever had to wait. The dining room could sometimes feel a bit cramped (sore seats). This may have been because we were there at the same time as other large groups. The breakfast was great and varied. A little harder-fried bacon would have been appreciated, however. Great garage in the basement with a connecting elevator. About 10-15 minutes walk (at a leisurely pace) to Kalmar Castle. Lots of restaurants and shops right outside the door.

Really good breakfast with homemade tomato jam. Nice reception at check-in. Parking garage with elevator directly to all floors of the hotel. Cons: Worn out room & empty minibar.
