Spotlessly clean hotel. Homely, clean and with everything you need. Perfect location in town with proximity to restaurants and other things in all directions. Right next door, with access via the hotel, is currently Urbane Goat, one of Norrköping's best eateries (I know because I lived in town a few years ago). Tram and bus are 3 minutes away, which is necessary since it is still a bit of a walk with luggage from Central. It was quiet and private on the 4th floor. I met nice young staff at the reception. When booking, they arranged a room according to my wishes. The lobby was nice. The breakfast had everything a normal hotel breakfast should offer, plus good coffee and real teacups - a detail I really appreciated because then I could make myself a large cup of coffee with milk. Aren't we tired of those ugly little white standard cups that you see in every hotel (and workplaces...)? Yes, we are. Breakfast also ran smoothly, even at the busiest times. Part of the dining room where there are seats lacks windows, another has skylights. The only downside with the breakfast was that the teas were boring Lipton. My double room was nice and large, where in addition to a desk there was a small table that I could eat at. The kettle was also a plus. The bed was on the firmer side compared to all other hotels I have stayed at in Sweden. They also don't seem to have real double beds, only 2x90. A few downsides that didn't affect my experience much, but that I think the hotel should address: It's really time to putty and repaint the walls in the dining room, and move away from the faded terracotta yellow and dark gray. And gradually spruce it up overall. And remove the information in the elevators that has passed its expiration date. The fact that they are still hanging around is, for me, a minus to the commitment of the hotel management. Finally, I hope carpets disappear from all rooms eventually. *** Recommend this hotel for both price, location and very good overall experience! ***
