Popped in for lunch for four of us, on spec, just before Christmas. They were very busy but still managed to find us a table and served good food, promptly and efficiently. Very pleasant staff, immaculate location and reasonable prices....We shall return!

Sysonby Knoll Hotel in Melton Mowbray has become one of those venues I’m genuinely happy to return to, and I’ve been meaning to leave a review for a while now because my experiences there have been consistently strong. One of the biggest occasions I’ve held there was my stag night. I invited loads of family and friends for a sit-down meal, and the whole evening went really well. When you’ve got a large group, it can easily become chaotic or slow, but the team handled it brilliantly. Staff were organised, attentive, and genuinely caring throughout — making sure everyone was looked after and that the service stayed smooth from start to finish. It felt like they took pride in getting it right, which really helped the night feel special and stress-free. I’ve also visited on multiple occasions with my husband, and the food has been really good each time. It’s the sort of place where you feel confident ordering, because the standard has been reliable across visits. Everything arrives well presented, tastes fresh, and feels like good quality rather than “just something to fill a plate.” Atmosphere-wise, Sysonby Knoll always feels vibrant. It’s reassuringly busy without feeling uncomfortable — there’s a good buzz, and it gives you that sense you’re in a popular venue that people trust for meals, celebrations, and special occasions. The service is amazing overall, but the standout for me is how well they handle my allergy. They take it seriously, communicate clearly, and make you feel safe and respected rather than awkward for mentioning it. That level of care makes such a difference and is one of the main reasons I’m so happy to recommend them. All in all, Sysonby Knoll Hotel is a fantastic choice in Melton Mowbray — whether you’re planning a big celebration, a family meal, or a relaxed visit as a couple. Great atmosphere, genuinely good food, and customer service that makes you want to come back. I really like the Sunday lunch menu they have an offer three course menu which is affordable and never too expensive. Unfortunately, I’ve not had a pleasure of staying overnight at Sysonby Knoll as I live in Melton Mowbray so there would be no point of that.
