Last long weekend, we stayed at this hotel with a larger group of people with a complex group (6 adults, 3 young children, and a dog) in various rooms. We felt welcome and had a wonderful weekend. The rooms were nice and warm. Two of the rooms weren't very spacious, but that didn't spoil our enjoyment. The hotel is a bit older in places, so some rooms need some maintenance. The bathrooms in two rooms had clearly been renovated and were therefore comfortable and clean. The family room was very spacious. The pool was wonderful and had extended opening hours (I think 6 a.m. - 10 p.m.). We also used the sauna, which worked perfectly. Breakfast was extensive, fresh, and delicious every day. Everything was constantly replenished. The location relative to the city was excellent, about a 30-minute walk to the Schwebebahn. The bus to the city was about a 15-minute walk away. You can also park your car (a 5-minute drive) closer to the Schwebebahn, free of charge, under a highway overpass and then walk about another 5 minutes to the Schwebebahn. Or, of course, drive to a parking garage somewhere in the city. The forest is directly accessible from the hotel, perfect for a pleasant walk. We also had a buffet dinner at the restaurant, which was also delicious. All in all, we'd love to come back!

We booked the Romantic Weekend package, including a candlelit dinner. Our room was small, dark, and located directly above the kitchen. The extractor fan was very noisy. There were holes in the bed linens, and dust was several centimeters thick on the picture frames, mirror, and television. The door wouldn't lock, but the reception staff resolved the problem very quickly and gave us a new room. This room was bright, pleasantly furnished, and clean. The candlelit dinner was cliché and not at all romantic. There's definitely room for improvement.

We were looking forward to the New Year, which we wanted to celebrate with a few nice days. After what we experienced at this hotel today, we'd much rather go home. The receptionist was overwhelmed and therefore very unfriendly. Okay, we thought, so much for the staff shortage… Unfortunately, the drama continued during dinner. The first people at the buffet only had lukewarm food. Refilling the food took forever, and instead of venison, we ended up with turkey. Dessert wasn't replenished for a long time either. Not only was the food a disaster, but the staff was equally awful, failing to serve drinks promptly. The last evening of the year was supposed to be something special, but honestly, I have a bad feeling about this hotel. After all these experiences, I can't imagine they'll provide us with a great end to the year.
