A wonderful experience in Playa del Carmen We stayed here for a few days and were absolutely thrilled. We really can't understand some of the negative reviews. Our room was bright, spacious, and very comfortable. We felt right at home. The cleaning staff was very attentive and thorough, always friendly and smiling. We also felt well taken care of at reception at all times. The bed was extremely comfortable, and we slept wonderfully. The mattresses were perfect, and the air conditioning was pleasant and powerful. There's a rooftop pool with loungers, ideal for relaxing, soaking up the sun, and taking a refreshing dip. The hotel also offers a more affordable option with mini rooms. These are simpler, but clean, functional, spacious, and very reasonably priced. A great alternative for travelers on a budget. For us, it was a thoroughly enjoyable stay in a fantastic location. We will definitely be back.

The pictures of the hotel are not true. The room was not cleaned, there was an empty bottle under the bed. There were no towels and when we finally got them, they were stained as if they had been folded up from used towels. We had to go and ask for toilet paper ourselves when the half roll we had ran out. When we went to take a shower, we first got cold water on our backs because the glass door swung inwards and it was impossible to open the tap otherwise. The breakfast is everything you could ever imagine. And if you accidentally forget something in the room, it is your own fault for not checking it when you checked out. I discovered my forgotten linen blouse when I arrived at my new place about 5 hours later, I contacted them immediately, they happily allowed me to check it and then they said there was nothing in the closet. In fact, 2 blouses were left in the closet and the hotel staff simply appropriated them. The hotel was booked through Booking.com during Black Friday at a discount price of 2 nights for 2 for 2 €211. They suggested canceling it on site (which was no longer possible for free), then the price would have been half as cheap. A very unpleasant experience.

Excellent location, close to the city center, the beaches, and the bus, ferry, and shuttle departure points. The rooms are nice but don't have windows that open. The WiFi doesn't always work well, as does (in our room) the shower (sometimes it takes a long time to get hot water) and the toilet flush (you can hear the sound of the water). Only one staff member speaks English. It's a hotel designed for Mexico's hot climate. When we stayed (early February), the temperature at night could reach 15°C, and the fact that the corridors to the rooms don't have windows made it quite cold in the rooms (which aren't heated). For the same reason, you can hear a lot of outside noise, especially a rooster in the morning! Breakfast is very minimal: a small tray with your choice of fruit, pancakes, eggs, ham, and the like, plus coffee and tea. In the basement, there are also "loculo" rooms with bunk beds.
