Biohotel Spöktal

Hotel Spöktal doesn't deserve the name "hotel" at all. You have to do everything yourself: get your own food and clear your own dishes. In the wooden cabins in the woods, there isn't even a mug for making tea or a glass for drinking water or using your toothbrush. No soap. No shelves for your clothes. No mirror in the hallway or room. The food that you have to bring in is far too overpriced for the meager selection, especially at the New Year's Eve buffet. Meatballs and croquettes that disappeared in no time are hardly a good option for New Year's Eve. At breakfast, spoons were just stuck into the glasses without any bowls. Everything was very unhygienic, and cheese and sausage were simply thrown onto the plates. When things ran out, many items weren't replenished. There was no staff to talk to. Every guest had to go to the kitchen themselves to get something if they needed a spoon. Everything was very unhygienic. The main building was old, and everyone was expected to bring their own food and eat somewhere with their dog. There were no placemats or blankets. On New Year's morning, dirty dishes were still scattered everywhere where we wanted to have breakfast. The breakfast buffet didn't start until 9:00 AM instead of 8:30 AM, and the reception was rarely staffed, with no information about these changes. Not to mention the lack of peace and quiet. We specifically brought our dog there because it was recommended to us as being incredibly quiet and located in a nature reserve where fireworks were prohibited. The opposite was true. It was louder than our home in the city because the noise echoed through the surrounding forest. Overall, it wasn't a vacation at all, and we didn't get any rest. A complete and overpriced disappointment, and the owner immediately threatened to call the police when we politely voiced our concerns. Absolutely unacceptable. Never again.

Great hotel with very friendly staff. Breakfast was superb. The view from the breakfast room was simply beautiful.

A wonderful place in a paradisiacal setting. I spent a week at the BioHotel Spöktal for the FastingPlus program, and it's the most beautiful place I can imagine for such an experience. There, I found plenty of peace for introspection, wonderful tranquility, right in the heart of nature, and lovely, authentic encounters. Everywhere you look, you can feel the love with which the hotel is run ❤️ My first thought when I stepped out of the main building onto the garden grounds was: "What a paradisiacal place!" I will definitely be back and I'm already looking forward to it.
