We stayed at the Blue Sky Hotel 25 years ago (October 2002) for our honeymoon. A simple but well-equipped and clean hotel. The staff were attentive and very pleasant, despite our very basic English. A varied buffet. Enjoyable activities offered (excursions, evening entertainment, etc.). Sea view. Superbly located; the beach, bars, and town center are just steps away. The only downsides were the pool's position relative to the hotel, meaning the sun only warms the water from mid-afternoon onwards, unless you're not sensitive to the cold. And the traffic: the roundabout right in front of us often provided the perfect platform for a cacophony of horns. But if we were to return to Rhodes, this is the hotel we would choose.

The hotel makes a good first impression. The staff is friendly and helpful, but there's a lot of room for improvement when it comes to cleanliness. The air conditioning was filthy, and the bathroom wasn't properly cleaned until we complained about its condition. There was no wardrobe in our room, just an open shelf. During breakfast, the coffee machine was sometimes switched off even while we were eating. Well, the hotel probably can't be held responsible for the state of the beach, which is quite littered in places; it's not exactly a pleasant place to be. The old town is easily accessible on foot.
