Charming hotel, almost in the middle of the jungle, which makes it very pleasant to be able to have breakfast, take a dip in the pools, and see so much nature and animals flying around. The room is simple, without luxuries, but it was very clean and has the essentials: a good bed, air conditioning, a ceiling fan, and a refrigerator to keep your drinks cold. The bathroom, in my opinion, should be renovated as it's a bit dated, but it was still very clean. They have a small terrace with two chairs and a table. Breakfast isn't a buffet; they give you a choice of three options: two savory and one sweet. I loved the ranchero; they give you two corn tortillas with two fried eggs on top, tomato, cheese, and a sausage, plus sliced fresh tomato and cucumber. It's a good and very tasty dish, in addition to fresh fruit, juice, and coffee. The family they employ to run the business are all lovely. The area is safe. They have a good parking lot where you can leave your car, and next to the hotel there's access to a beautiful cove. If you have a 4x4, you can avoid a long hike with many ups and downs, although there is still a stretch of walking required. During the hike, we saw monkeys, and although the access is somewhat difficult, I wouldn't recommend it for older people, because there are sections on the way down where you have to hold onto ropes. It's worth going, though, because the water is crystal clear and the cove is beautiful. There isn't much to do near the hotel, but for a good meal and a beautiful sunset, I recommend the Sabromar seafood restaurant.

I find it unbelievable that a hotel like this doesn't have 24-hour reception. It's 10 pm and water is leaking from both toilets in the rooms, and we can't get in touch with ANYONE… We can't talk to anyone and we have to go to the bathroom because we can't communicate with ANYONE… Even in the afternoon (when reception is open) we tried to contact reception and there was NO ONE there, and they didn't answer the intercom even though they were open…

It's a peaceful place, surrounded by nature. We've seen more animals here than in Manuel Antonio National Park. The family that runs it is lovely, friendly, and very attentive. The rooms are spotless. Watching all kinds of birds fly above the pool and seeing the monkeys climb the trees in the garden is an unforgettable experience. I highly recommend it.
