We stayed at the Bonito for one week in September 2025. In our opinion, the hotel does not live up to its 5-star rating, particularly for the following reasons: - Room cleaning: not thorough enough (someone else's hair was left on the bathroom floor), too few fresh towels, the bed was only made up after we asked for it on the fifth night. - The rooms were very noisy (especially those facing the hallway), and we sometimes had trouble falling asleep or woke up during the night because of slamming doors, loud talking/shouting, and music in the hallway. - Service: Not very attentive, sometimes not particularly friendly or helpful. We sometimes had to practically demand to be served (at the pool) or to pay (in the restaurant). There are exceptions everywhere, but unfortunately, this is the overall impression. - Food: The breakfast buffet was nice with a wide selection; generally, there was nothing to complain about. However, service staff only came by on the first day to order things like fried eggs or omelets. On the following days, no one offered us any further service (even though we were told on the first day that we could order such food from the staff). Generally speaking, the food and drinks at the pool were far too expensive for the quality. For example, you could order nachos at the pool for €25, which were truly awful (avocado cream from a tube, etc.). We would expect better quality in a hotel like this. - Towels for the pool weren't provided before 11:00 AM, as the pool apparently doesn't open until then. However, it was already around 25 degrees Celsius at 9:00 AM, and many guests wanted to swim and sunbathe (and therefore got the towels from their rooms). - On Friday evening before our departure, we reserved a late check-out. Unfortunately, no one remembered this the following day, and our room key no longer worked when we tried to return to our room. ...``` ``` ``` ``` `` ` ` - There was some back-and-forth regarding the deposit, which we did get back, but we were charged more for the minibar than we had consumed (we had a Coke for €5, but were charged €19). This was then painstakingly resolved via email. - We had requested a room on a higher floor. This was also ignored (and we don't believe the hotel was fully booked). Furthermore, the room faced a parking lot. It's not inherently a hotel that shouldn't be booked, but you need to know what to expect, and in our opinion, this isn't reflected in the price.
