Charles Hope London Brentford

Charles Hope Brentford, is a lovely place to visit, relax and stay. The staff James and his colleague are friendly and helpful and attentive. Positives - Access to the apartments are with key codes, via a black box, which removes the issues of fobs / keys and keys getting lost. Spacious rooms but could do with low level lamps for reading, good complimentary facilities provided such as teas, washing pods and dishwasher tablets. The check in and check out time is very good and they offer early check-in at reasonable prices. Their check in process online is efficient and quick, very much a self service system. It’s a quiet and safe area and there is a massive Tesco Extra, 5 mins walk from Charles Hope. Reservations can be booked online and their prices are extremely reasonable. My advice would be to read everything on their site and the link they send for check-in, really informative with videos to help every step of the way. There is a coffee and bender machine on arrival and you can book uber rides at reception with their taxi system. Negatives - Staff are not always at reception 24/7, if they are going to be away, there should be a sign to say they are away from the desk and they will be back soon. I understand things happen and there is a 24/7 line to call when needed but it’s always good have a staff member on desk so if you check in early or need something, you have someone to talk to. When you extend or renew a night, the key codes sometimes change, so you have to call up to get a new to enter the apartment. Location is a slight let down, with not much around and food being a good 20 mins. away for delivery. A modern service apartment with a few minor tweaks.

Other than having free parking and a nice first impression i have no other good things to say about this place… absolutely disgusting…. In the room i was staying, the mattress smells like urine. I HAVE NO IDEA HOW THE HOUSE CLEANERS DID NOT SMELL IT. Did they chop their nostrils off or what? I asked if i can change rooms and they told me they give me full refund and tell me too book another stay at other places. (It is 12am). The odour was literally penetrating my nostrils when i uncover the duvet.

The rooms are spacious however the apartment we had the bathrooms had a mouldy odour that took a while to disipate. It is a comfortable unit for a family of 4 to 6 people. Keep in mind it is not close to much when it comes to being on holiday.
