The hotel has a unique design, and the concept is brilliantly executed. The rooms were clean and well-maintained upon arrival, with a choice of two pillows: a soft one and a firm one. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and the mattress was very supportive. The staff was friendly, and we enjoyed delicious cocktails at the bar in the evenings—the bartender clearly puts in a lot of effort, and his passion is evident. The location is fantastic, right on the dike, and perfect for long walks. Breakfast costs €19.90 per person, but we didn't book it. Parking is €6 per night, which is reasonable, but you can also use the underground parking garage. It's a great concept, and we loved it. We'll definitely be back.

I'm someone who generally likes to give positive reviews – and this hotel definitely has a lot of potential. There are some highlights, but also some aspects where, in my opinion, the price-performance ratio isn't quite right. First, the positives: We had one of the XL suites with a sea view – and it was truly fantastic! The view, the decor, the whole ambiance: it deserves a full 5 stars. Overall, the hotel's design is really fun, creative, and lovingly executed. You can tell that a lot of thought went into it. There's also a cinema and a spa area, which I didn't use, though. (By the way, there are no bathrobes here – something to keep in mind 😉) Now for the points that, in my opinion, could be improved: I paid €250 per night – for that price, I would have at least expected complimentary bottled water in the room or at least cups for tap water. ... Coffee (I'm a self-confessed coffee addict ☕️) would have been nice – unfortunately, it's only available free of charge at reception from 7 a.m. onwards. I ended up buying one; at least that's easy to do down there. Unfortunately, the cleanliness wasn't quite up to the standard I would expect in this price range: the large leather sofa was still covered in crumbs and sand (we hadn't even been to the beach), and the soap dispensers and bath mats in the bathroom were stained. I also would have liked a smart TV in this room category. My son and I wanted to have a cozy evening watching TV – we ended up having to use my phone with Apple TV. It was nice, though, that a technician came immediately to help us set up a PlayStation (which unfortunately didn't work in the end). The mattresses are a matter of personal preference – they are really very hard. I generally prefer firmer mattresses, but these were too firm for me. Breakfast: Very good quality, great selection – and absolutely delicious! However, it was very crowded during peak hours, and refilling the food took a while. When it was our turn, for example, the bacon, cheese, and scrambled eggs were briefly unavailable. In conclusion: A hotel with a lot of charm and potential, but one that could benefit from more attention to detail and refined service in some areas – especially considering the price. This is, of course, my personal opinion – others will certainly be less critical of some points. For me, it was okay overall, but not quite right in terms of value for money.

We stayed there for two nights with our Labrador. It's a slightly different kind of hotel, but we really enjoyed it. The staff were exceptionally friendly and competent throughout. The underground parking was great, and the breakfast was excellent, with reserved tables for guests with dogs. There was a very nice bar that we enjoyed visiting in the evenings. The location is fantastic, right on the dike. Our only complaint was that the rooms were simply too small. There was no seating area, just a double bed and a wardrobe. No closet. Stylish, but too spartan for our taste. Nevertheless, I can wholeheartedly recommend this hotel. We'll be back.
