My parents made a booking at this hotel, over $900, through booking.com. The hotel cancelled my parents booking, only telling them a day after cancelling. The reason for cancelling was "we don't allow people from your postcode because we had some rooms damaged by people from that postcode before". My parents explained that they were booking the stay because they'd bought a property in the area and were waiting to move in. They made an exception and allowed my parents to re-book, however wanted payment again. My parents refund was not in their account yet (can take up to 7 days apparently), which meant another outlay of over $900! My parents rightly declined and went elsewhere. How about your staff call people BEFORE cancelling their booking? How about checking the booking, and noticing that 2 people in their 60's are staying, which would be very unlikely that they'll damage the room? How about not practicing discriminatory behaviour and blocking people from certain postcodes? You're being reported for this practice, and booking.com are investigating and will probably terminate you from their site. Anything you say in response to this review will not be true, because you already lied to booking.com and said the cancellation was due to over-booking! Do not book here!
