This was the cleanest hotel room we have stayed in. Rose was the person who cleaned our room. I'm so happy we found the Brown County Inn.

We chose this inn for a weekend getaway mainly for their proximity to downtown but without being downtown. Overall our stay was very pleasant. Rooms were really clean, room balcony, easy check-in, and staff friendly. We loved the Salt Creek trail behind the inn, which was easy access to downtown and we walked it every day. We would definitely stay here again but I didn’t give a 5 star rating because of these reasons: 1. There was not a refrigerator or microwave in the room, which is common in most hotels nowadays. A refrigerator would have been handy since we had leftovers from our meals out. 2. One of the beds had a sunken dip in the middle of the mattress and rickety bed frame, which made for a bad sleep. Luckily we had a double queen room, so we slept in the other bed our second night, which was a much better mattress. 3. The walls are really thin, we could hear the women’s conversations in the room next door and was awakened in the middle of the night by their coughing. Also, you could hear all conversations in the halls as guests walked by. 4. Lastly, on our second night, which was a Sunday in March, we didn’t have hot water. At best it was lukewarm. After hiking all day, a hot shower sounded so good but dint happen. We’re not sure if they turned the hot water heaters down or what? There were not many guests staying on Sunday night, but one would expect hot water. The next morning the hot water was back, but wasn’t much use to us then since we checked out. These negatives, except for the walls, are easy fixes and would have made a 5 star rating from me otherwise.
