Browndot Hotel - Seomyeon 1

Brown-Dot has many locations, so please pay attention to the hotel name before booking. Here's my experience from staying two nights at the end of November: 1. You have to actively ask the front desk to turn on the air conditioning (it felt incredibly stuffy and suffocating when I entered). 2. The room had a strong disinfectant smell, the velvet sofa looked unclean and I didn't dare sit on it, and the combs in the toiletries area weren't disposable and had a bunch of hair, probably from previous guests, stuck on them. 3. The first night was okay, but I felt uneasy, like someone was watching me. The second night was the worst. At 1 AM, the air conditioning suddenly turned off and then back on by itself; then at 2 AM, the bidet toilet started flushing repeatedly by itself, with a beeping sound before flushing, lasting for over three minutes. It was terrifying, so I went downstairs to report it. When the front desk staff came to check, the toilet was suddenly working normally again, but halfway through our conversation, it flushed automatically again. The front desk staff were also startled and quickly unplugged the bidet toilet, saying it was the first time they'd encountered this situation. Because the hotel was fully booked that day, and one room had a bathtub under repair and wasn't available for sale, we were moved to that room to continue resting. Although the other room was smaller, the atmosphere was different, and I felt more at ease. 4. The next day, the front desk staff changed shifts. We were supposed to check out at 12:00 PM, but when we told him we hadn't slept well the night before, we asked if we could postpone our check-out. He said he knew the situation and offered to postpone it for free until 4:00 PM. Since we had other plans, we asked if we could check out a little later, but he just kept smiling and saying "goodbye" and "thank you" repeatedly in Chinese before sending us away, without explaining why the situation had happened the previous night or offering any compensation. 5. My shoulders were heavy after two nights. The poor accommodation experience greatly affected my mood and energy for the next day's travel. 6. After checking out, we left our luggage in the open area on the first floor. The front desk didn't provide tags, making it feel like anyone could take our luggage freely, which was very unsafe. The only advantages were the free bottled water available outside the room and the proximity to the subway station.

Perfect location, a minute walk from the train. Excellent bathroom and toilet. Clean room. The bed was less comfortable.
