Budget Inn Nassawadox

Place is terrible I wish I had taken pictures before I got there, burn holes in the sheets, ashes on on the floor, I didn't complain because I paid very little for the room but nonetheless place is trash. Owner then accused me of smoking and leaving burn holes in the sheet, continuously used the term "you people" and demanded I pay for smoking in the room. The room smelled like smoke and looked like someone had smoked in it prior to me coming in. 0/10 would not recommend

Mr. Patel is very nice and accommodating. We stayed two nights while on a fishing trip. The hotel was able to accommodate our boat parking and other boaters. Rooms are basic, but clean. Water pressure amazing. It was quiet no noise. Will stay there again.

This is going to be a really long review, as I did my review and then wanted to add something additional and it deleted the first one so I am going to try again and combine them both. Booking my room was a bit of a hard time but I am the one who caused the problem, I booked it online and then added the OYO app and somehow managed to double book myself. After just a few minutes on the phone with the hotel they were able to fix my problem, and I only had one room. Since I was going to be there by myself, I definitely didn’t need two rooms. Check in was really easy got my key card and my tv remote. When I walked into my room it was incredibly clean, and smelled like Clorox cleaner, the dry kind not a bottle of bleach. The television worked great. There was 2 different places to set your suitcases, along with a clothes bar. There was a fridge, microwave, a desk area, along with 2 complete sets of towels and a floor mat for the shower along with tissues and a blow dryer. There were some toiletries and an ice bucket along with wrapped cups. I went to the ice machine, it worked and there was a vending machine and a soda machine. The bed was comfortable to me and there were no critters you had to share it with. There wasn’t any trash outside and no people just hanging around. Also no rowdiness or loud music. Great place to stay. The shower was clean, no dirt, no mold, no creepy crawleys to join you. The shower curtain was nice not a 1970’s leftover. And the water was HOT. Not lukewarm like it tends to be in some hotels where you were there on a weekend, but this was not the case. It is REALLY reasonable considering all the places you might want to visit while you are there, the beach, Norfolk, Jamestown, Williamsburg. Most of the other hotels that were in this price range had horrible reviews, this one at the time I was booking pretty much the only complaint people were having was that they didn’t serve free breakfast or have coffee. I would rather not have these if it might cause them to have to try to cut corners somewhere else, like how amazingly clean the room was, or charge you a lot more. You can always get breakfast down the road, I went to the Sage Diner (the new one), and the coffee was great and it had way more options to choose from than a free breakfast at a hotel. I am attaching photos so that people can actual see my room, as I noticed all the complainants didn’t seem to take any pictures of their problem rooms. I liked mine so much that I took pictures of all of it. Especially the cool bathroom light up mirror. I did just want to address something else. I saw some people complaining about bugs and cleanliness of the rooms and just wanted to say something about this. I noticed a building across the parking lot from the hotel and wondered what it was. It is in fact probably the best reason for this hotel to be clean and bug free. The building is the Northampton HEALTH department. So, maybe the people who were complaining weren’t happy about the people who run the hotel, or had a bad day, or a blinking blue light that made them unable to sleep…. They have really dark almost blackout curtains by the way. But my pictures say it all. I took them because I was really impressed The first ones are of my whole room and the last three show the hotel with the orange arch on the left and directly across the parking lot is a large tan building. It’s the Health department. If any place is going to be sure to keep their hotel clean, it would be one next to the health department. I’m sorry I don’t believe what the other people were posting, I just don’t believe one room, mine, would be immaculate and yet the other rooms were dirty and had bugs. Cause if one knows anything about hotels the creatures spread like wildfire. I honestly believe that there are people who just have to find fault with something no matter where they are.
