After reading many reviews, we decided to book this beautiful resort for our New Year's week vacation. Service, Food, Amenities, and the Wonderful ocean facing rooms with private plunge pools were the very best of any 5-star hotel. The standout staff member is Mariadna Juarez, who is the General Manager. Mariadna was always there to attend to our needs. She responded promptly to our questions and requests and was instrumental in making our stay unforgettable.

AVOID THIS HOTEL AT ANY COST. Easy to say that the hotel management (Marianda) ruined our stay from the first five minutes. We were greeted with cluelessness as to what reservation we are under, how many days we are staying and where we booked, even though the reservation was created 6months prior. Then we were told we could not be accommodated together as a family as we booked through “Booking” and guests from booking do not get the same treatment as gusts who book directly. After we asked to be changed to a room where we could greet New Years together as a family, we were told that is not possible and that if we’d like to cancel Booking.com’s reservation, they can offer us a rate almost twice more than what we had booked already so many months prior. After our 25 hour flight from Europe, we were not offered water until 2.5 hours after arriving as we were stuck trying to discuss reasonable accommodations to our problem, while other arrivals were receiving welcome drinks. We felt we could not trust the hotel and wanted to leave, but could not as they would charge us the full amount. To be stuck in a hotel like this for New Year’s with no hygiene and constant noise from machines on the balcony is very unfortunate . There is only a few tables for breakfast crammed in a tiny space and wait 1+ hours to be served. The price per night (over a thousand dollars) does not match the service or accommodation.
