Camiguin Highland Resort

Great service and an awesome view.

You need a car if you plan to stay here. Parking is large enough but not cemented but it was fine. The food in their restaurant was VERY immaculate. The food was not a 5 star creative culinary experience but it did give a very good homey filipino food experience. I love the lomi and sinigang there. I wish it was kangkong in the sinigang instead of pechay but it was still very good fragrant sinigang. Literally do not fire the cooks cooking there if you are the owner reading this. I'd go back there just to eat. Pumba the Pomeranian was roaming around while we were there and he was very cute. I fed him some pork sinigang meat and he liked it. The garden around the hotel was also pretty and well maintained. The only bad part while we were there was the agoda mishap which we ended up paying extra and the really old rooms. I felt sorry for the staff because I poured my anger on them but they were very professional in handling me and my mother's mouth. A renovation is due for the hotel as the beds, cabinets, curtains, chairs, and shower area were stuck in the 80s-90s and were already creaky. They use starlink as their internet provider so cloudy and stormy days mean the internet might not be there. They also need to put mobile phone signal boosters in their rooms as you literally don't have mobile coverage while you are inside. The sliding lock on our room was also missing a part so paranoid people need to keep this in mind when they stay. This was probably a very nice hotel 30-40 years ago but it really needs updating. Get a real IT professional to handle the network for the hotel. The gardens and the restaurant are still nice and I'd order food here again if I stay again.

The rooms may be aged, but the staff make up for it with good and courteous customer service.
