The property was spacious, elegant, and top notch. The staff was professional, courteous, and went above and beyond. For these reasons it is expensive to stay here and worth the expense. In life, you get what you pay for.

Very disappointing experience overall. We stayed here in August for our honeymoon and while the property is beautiful, the service leaves MUCH to be desired, for a supposed 5 star resort. Service by either pool is nearly nonexistent, if you see a staff member (they appear roughly every hour or so) you need to get up and chase them down to place a food or drink order, which of course, takes too long to arrive. We waited 35 minutes for a bottle of sparkling water one day. Breakfast was the slimmest offering of any of the 4 hotels we stayed at on this trip in the area. Our room, one of the duplexes, was very nice, but the bathroom smelled like food trash (specifically fish) from the day we checked in. The staff did try to fix this, and wasn't able to, so to their credit, they did comp one of our 4 nights for this issue. Nevertheless, this wasn't an ideal situation to live in. I wasn't going to write a review for this hotel, because I thought maybe our service and room experience was an off one, but about 3 months after our stay, the hotel started harassing us over email to pay an 18 Euro bill, because they only charged us city taxes for one person, rather than the two that were staying there. The room was originally booked for one person, but I called in May to amend the reservation and add my husband's name to the reservation. We checked in together, they took both of our passports, the staff was fully aware we were two people and could have adjusted the tax at any time during our stay. Instead, they chose to relentlessly follow up months later about this petty charge. It's not about the 18 Euros, obviously, but it felt very cheap and classless of the hotel to keep emailing us months after the fact for an accounting error on their end. It felt extremely unprofessional.
