Excellent facilities with very attentive reception staff. Recommended for a short stay.

It's a great option for a trip with children. We traveled in August, two adults and two children, and the experience was perfect. The location is very good, right at the entrance to the town of Santillana, perfect for starting a visit after a busy day of sightseeing. There are parking spaces right in front, but they're highly contested since they're included in the price, which is appreciated since parking in Santillana is impossible. There's also an underground car park for 6 or 9 euros a day, which can save you some money. They don't have room service, but it looks very clean. The rooms aren't very spacious, but they're adequate. Two single beds for a couple and a sofa bed for the children. The bed frames are metal, and the mattresses are of very poor quality; by the second day I had a terrible cramped neck. It's missing some extra pillows, which are very scarce in this regard. There's a small kitchenette that's great for breakfast, but it takes forever to boil water. The kitchen utensils clearly have been used many times, although they're not very non-stick when cleaned. Dull knife, I couldn't cut my tomatoes. The TV didn't work, the remote was broken, and there was no signal; it was just for decoration. As for the bathroom, the shower is small but adequate, although honestly, for two bucks you can get a more modern shower screen and a more modern shower head, but hey, it does the job. The toilet paper comes in 10cm strips, so if you eat a lot of cocido montañes, be patient. Another very important fact is that the apartments overlooking the courtyard share space with a laundry room, and there's an extractor fan that runs 25 hours a day, making a very annoying noise. It's not a problem with closed windows, but it's very annoying in summer. In conclusion, for the price and the location, it does the job.

A 6-night, 7-day stay for a couple, booked through Booking.com. I didn't want to give it a higher rating because of some details that, in my opinion, were missing. Overall, we were comfortable. We had an apartment facing the street (which is fine since there were interior ones). The bathroom was great, no complaints, hot water, clean, with shower gel, hairdryer, etc. Very good. The kitchen was generally good, except for one detail we would have liked: there was no freezer. However, the refrigerator is very cold. They leave you a new cloth and scouring pad as a courtesy, and the kitchenware is fine. We missed the air conditioning (there are days when it's needed). However, there is a fan that you can get at reception (if there are any left). On the ground floor, it's not very comfortable leaving the terrace door open, which is easily accessible. You can also hear everything, both inside and between terraces. Even so, we managed quite well with earplugs. And we should highlight the treatment we received from Patricia, one of the receptionists. She was very friendly at all times. She gave us great directions on where to have dinner one day, and she makes dealing with her easy. Available and professional. Overall, good, with a few details to be ironed out. Thank you.
