Casa Blanca Guesthouse - Hostel

I might come back if a private room is available. The rooms don't have locks, so be careful♪ The only partition is a curtain. It was a comfortable space if you just wanted to sleep♪

The bed is long enough, but too narrow. The ladder is also too narrow. The stairs suck! Four flights. No elevator. The kitchen is nice, but is it ample for the amount of people staying? No paper towels. There is a strong food smell on the 4th floor. Apparently people on the 5th floor are using microwave? Lots of noise from floor above. The cabins are a great idea, but when the ceiling is open the guests are subject to ALL of the noise in the room. There is nowhere in the shower to hang clothes or a towel. I had GREAT interactions with different receptionists. The first one wanted to carry my heavy suitcase up the 4 flights of stairs. I could not allow this, but it was appreciated. She also gave me a small blanket (used in summer), as the duvet is too warm. The 2nd receptionist helped me on my last day, providing me guidance on travel and presenting me with a luggage scale. Now for the horrible part. I was woke up by a man sleeping in the cabin next to me at 3am AND 6am. He was talking in his sleep. He said it is MY problem that he has this issue! I need to use ear plugs (they don't work). After I confronted him, he proceeded to make loud, yawning noises (like he's a damn lion) at 6:30am! No consideration for others. And this is the problem of these guesthouses when they don't have staff on duty OR hold these people accountable. They like to use the excuse that it is a dorm. I've stayed in MANY dorms where people respect others, DON'T snore, and sleep quietly.

Although it's a dormitory, it offers private rooms. Laundry is also available.
