This place is roach infested. We only stayed here 2 nights and each night we had 3 roaches we had to kill. The front desk was defensive and unhelpful. There are holes in our walls which we assume the roaches are coming from. No part of our room feels clean. Would never recommend this hotel to a friend or enemy. Great location though lol

This was the absolute most cutest hotel that I have stayed in in New Orleans, I have two daughters at live on Magazine Street. I was headed into the city for a conference, and I just wanted to stay somewhere near. My daughter suggested that I stay here and I’m so glad that I did. The staff was amazing and the hotel was just adorable. I highly recommend your next visit you need to stay.

Stayed here (3/6-3/8) for a staycation. The Catahoula used to have an amazing bar, it's next to the NOPSI and it's really scenic and off the beaten path so it was a good choice to try. First, lets do the not so good. My sink had been split in two and I could see the super glue marks putting them back together lol. Next, the shower had paint chips coming off of it and overall it gave local hotel. However, that's the really charming piece about this hotel. No, this hotel isn't a Hilton or Marriot property. It's a locally owned and operated hotel that has recently changed management/ownership. YOU CAN TELL. With that being said, what sets this property apart FOR ME is the service. Nathanial (the front desk manager) is amazing. I called down for towels, 2x. I had them INSIDE of 3 minutes (no lie). Nathanial also let me take a look at other rooms before deciding on the one I wanted BEFORE check-in time. It's the little nuances of a hotel stay that made this better than a normal stay. Also, I was able to find street parking instead of paying $50 or more a night for valet or New Orleans parking lot parking, that's huge. No, the hotel doesn't have a restaurant or a bar (which is coming back). But, what it does have is charm and great people. Book their rooms from their own site. You'll see alot more flexibility. YES, the rooms can be updated. I checked out other reviews about the quality of the rooms and I'm not surprised. I stayed in room 27 and it was a B at best. The bed is REALLY comfy tho. Not too firm, not too soft. It was the highlight of the stay. Book this hotel for the views, the courtyard, the location, value, THE STAFF and the vibe of the hotel. I'm definitely staying here again for a staycation. -KBSr
