We went for the day pass, based on a recommendation. They provide two lounge chairs and a palapa for everyone, as they obviously give preference to hotel guests. It's worth noting that you pay 700 pesos per person. The beach was quiet and very pleasant, actually. However... the food wasn't the best. To begin with, we ordered at 2 pm and it wasn't delivered until 5 pm. The shrimp in the aguachile and cocktail were chewy and very difficult to eat. We ordered fish strips and they were also strange, tasting like fish that had been frozen for a while. All three dishes were warm (odd, right?). I didn't try the grilled fish, but it made the person who ate it sick. The drinks are very expensive. The pool is nice and the view is pretty. I would probably give them a second chance.

To be honest, we had a very pleasant time and I recommend the day pass. The reason I'm giving it 2 stars is because the food service is clearly geared towards foreigners. The waiters served us with indifference, assuming we wouldn't be tipped. In some nachos we ordered, which were delicious, a clearly fried fly came out. We told the waiter and he just said "oops." I'm sure if it had been a foreigner, they would have at least brought them something complimentary. I didn't like that they didn't give us a written bill and only told me the total verbally. So I didn't know what they charged me.

The only good thing about the hotel is its excellent location for spending the day at the beach. The problem is the customer service; the manager of the beach bar is very rude. The food is bad and expensive. If you have the opportunity to book another hotel, do it.
