Bed bugs, room way too hot and no possibility to actually open the windows. Our stay was a nightmare; the poor experience we had totally ruined our trip. The hotel staff robotically responded to our complaints as if it were the usual protocol, and after reading other comments, I discovered that our experience was not unique. I highly DO NOT recommend this place if you want to have a good time in Amsterdam.

Horrible stay! On the evening of our arrival, my sister found a bedbug on her pillow. I took a picture and immediately went down to reception in my pajamas to demand a solution. We were offered a room right next door, which I refused, as the first room had carpet and it's obvious that a bedbug infestation isn't confined to just one room. We were eventually moved to the 4th floor. The new room was a veritable sauna: stifling heat, impossible to breathe properly. The heating was supposedly off, the air conditioning out of order because "it's not the season," and the window was broken and had no handle (it could only be opened by staff with a removable handle). We spent two terrible nights, unable to sleep properly. It's unacceptable to offer a room in these conditions. After our stay, we even saw a comment from another guest reporting the exact same overheating problem, which shows that the hotel is aware of it. Between the bedbugs on the first night and an unbreathable room afterwards, our stay in Amsterdam was ruined. A very bad experience; we absolutely do not recommend this hotel!

Excellent location and a quiet area, perfect for exploring the city on foot. The staff were fantastic, all very attentive and friendly. The room had every detail thought of, even a bathtub to relax in after a long day of sightseeing. If I return, I will definitely stay here again.
