Rooms were fairly nice for the price, but you're paying for the view and the fireplace and being by the beach. The service is top notch and the staff is super accommodating and friendly. Room service is quick and delicious with a handful of vegan / vegetarian options.

These are $25 per night cheap highway motel rooms with a $10-$30 per night view (depending on how close your are to the ocean). Add another $10 per night for the "premium" room soaking tubs. So let's say $65 per night max accomodations on weekends and holiday, less on weekdays. That's about it. The rugs are worn and stained, drapes are torn and fraying and dirty, just about everything in there is at least partially broken, the TVs are like 15 years old and have only basic cable, the Internet is slow, lots of the rooms have bug problems (as many guests have reported here) possibly because they allow pets, they require you to punch the hot tub buttons to make the jets come on and even then only half of them work, and on and on. It's just a mess. It's what you'd expect of a cheap highway motel, or maybe even a cheap Pet Motel. The problem is they are charging premium resort prices, so guests are going to hold them to that standard, but they aren't even remotely 100 miles away from being anywhere near that standard, and they know it, but they don't care. They are one of a few motels in that area who hold a monopoly on prime ocean front accomodations. So, they don't have to fix it, unless people stop going. Or maybe they'll get tired of having to give people's money back. Or maybe the State will eventually step in due to the disrepair and health hazards they're creating. When I was in line there, the 3 people in front of me were all lodging complaints about the state of their rooms, and the management was just handing out free meal vouchers for their overpriced subpar restaurant, left and right. The staff were not surprised to hear things like "fleas" or "soaking wet rug from a leaking fridge" and so on. They obviously deal with these complaints every day.
