Just stayed here for 5 nights and reading through the recent comments and I just cannot believe how you can give this place a low rating. It shows how everyone has different perspectives. For us, it was an AMAZING stay. We were sad to leave and would 100% come back. Expect basic rooms (but all that you need). The real luxury is found in the environment – the stunning view from your balcony, watching the sunrise in the morning, able to walk to a private beach to meditate and practice some yoga and have your breakfast at the swimming pool. Honestly, for me that's pure luxury and my type of holiday. Yannis is the kindest host. The service is found in the small things: messaging me way before our stay to collect information, having our room ready at early arrival and offering all the help and tips when needed. Vasilikos itself is beautiful - might be my favourite part of the island. Surrounded by some stunning beaches and close to Argassi, which is really nice too. You do need a car to get around. So if you are someone who likes a good bargain and values the same as I do, then you're going to have an amazing time.

We've traveled extensively, even to places with limited comfort. We're used to a lot. Now we thought we'd just get away for a week in the sun. Rent a car and enjoy. |I think it's terrible that people might save up for a long time, look …

Unfortunately, it was a terrible experience, primarily due to the host, who was extremely rude and unprofessional. The cleanliness was inadequate (dirty floors, mold in the bathroom, filthy shower curtain), but the amenities provided were inadequate: the bathroom only had a showerhead, without a hook, making it impossible to take a normal shower. When we reported the issue (also due to the objective physical difficulties of one of the two friends), the owner was completely uninterested in the problem, made no attempt to find a solution, and showed no understanding or empathy. Furthermore, while he initially offered to refund us for the second night (which, given his arrogant and rude attitude, we decided to cancel), when we actually decided not to stay the second night due to the room issues and his completely indifferent attitude toward an objective problem with the property, he decided not to refund our deposit, even yelling at us on the phone. Even in previous interactions, he was unavailable (when we called him, he wouldn't answer the phone and would only communicate via WhatsApp). It's unacceptable for someone who should change jobs because he's incapable of interacting with the public to treat guests (who are also physically challenged) this way. The only redeeming feature (and one that had also attracted us) is the sea view from the pool where breakfast is served (the breakfast itself is poor in terms of both variety and quality of products). If you want a pleasant experience in Argassi, don't choose this establishment.
