There's no escaping this place... Centara Mae Sot, no matter how many times I stay here, I always end up back at Centara Life Hotel Mae Sot! 😂 Every time I come to Mae Sot, I plan to try a new, chic hotel, but I always end up returning to Centara Life Hotel Mae Sot! Why can't I stop coming back? Let me summarize from someone who has stayed here countless times (and experienced the hardships): ✅ Spacious rooms perfect for aerobics: Modern hotels have cramped rooms, but here, the rooms are amazing. You can leave three suitcases open and still walk around comfortably. The air conditioning is incredible; it's so cold it's like sleeping in a fish freezer! ✅ The breakfast is "the real deal": If you love hearty rice porridge with plenty of toppings and freshly fried dough sticks, this is the place. I wake up early just for it! The restaurant staff are lovely; they almost remember my face and start chatting with me. ✅ Peaceful and serene: I like that it's not on a noisy main road, but it's close to Robinson. The swimming pool is huge and satisfying. Perfect for anyone who enjoys swimming for exercise, not just for taking photos and checking in. You'll love it here. ⚠️ Caution (from a frequent visitor): The power outlets here are vintage style; they're not available by every bedside like in newer hotels. If you're into gadgets like me, I recommend bringing an extension cord – it'll change your life! Also, the elevator might be a bit of a walk if you get a room in the innermost section. Good location, clean rooms, but the decor might seem a bit old. It's okay though, I slept well and there were no ghosts. Breakfast was alright, but maybe not as varied as other Centara hotels. I recommend repainting the hotel to make it look newer.
