Centara Villas Phuket

When I arrived, I paid for my hotel stay, the hotel took my card and swipe, the money was deducted from my bank, but the hotel said there's a connection timeout, so the transactions was not completed. Money was deducted from my account. It has been 6 days after i contacted bank, and i didn't received any refund in my bank. The hotel wanted me to pay a second time all these while, i can agree to pay but requested the hotel to give me a guarantee that in case i can't get back my money they will give me another 5 nights stay since i paid double. But the hotel refused, so this was dragged till the 6th day when I have to check out, The hotel staff was very unhelpful, they said after I make second payment they will ensure I get back my 1st payment refund, but NO Guarantee. I ended up calling tourism police, the police came, heard both side stories, tried convincing hotel to just give me the additional stay Guarantee but hotel refused, so all of us ended at police station to lodge a report, so that I can bring this up to my country embassy in Bangkok. On top of that, toilet needed 6 repairs and still had problems, bath tub was beyond repair had to change room, room service and shuttle often takes long time. Such expensive stay with poor quality, will never stay here again.

I stayed here in Feb 2026 in a deluxe villa with private pool. It was full of problems, but it became a nightmare when we had to deal with the staff. (General Manager was on holiday) 1) The bathtub was not functional so we requested a change of room. The new room instead had a screaming toilet bowl that was so loud you could hear it from outdoors. We called technicians who came in and replaced parts, only for the noise to come back after they leave. The technicians were called back for 4 times because they can't be bothered to stay & check if the problem is fixed before leaving. After that, we gave up & suffered high pitched noises 24/7 even at night. 2) Due to the paths exposed to sunlight, the expected way to reach our room from reception or restaurants is by their free tuktuk service. Once, we waited outside for 20 mins after we called. (expected wait time was 10min) 3) Once, we went to the spa during opening hour, and nobody was there. When we messaged the spa & reception using their Centara app, nobody replied. 4) After in-room dining, they told us to leave the used plate & tray outside. They said someone will collect it. It remained there, on the floor, until the evening of the next day. 5) There was an issue with payment where my debit acc was deducted but the hotel claim that they didn't receive the money. They made me pay again (essentially double) and promised to reimburse us once they received the first payment, but no guarantee that I will get my payment. I still haven't been reimbursed. 👇by the way, notice all their google maps replies are automated like the one below. They don't give a shit about customers' needs nor feedback.

A super cozy hotel, the only downside being its slightly remote location. During the day it's fine, as you can easily reach the really quiet and beautiful beach via a path. However, the path closes at 6:00 PM, so you can't get back or to the beach after that time. This was a particular problem/disappointment for us, as we wanted to use the gym in the sister hotel in the evening, but that would have required a difficult walk across the road and taking a taxi. The food was good, though, and the service was reasonably quick.
