This hotel doesn’t even deserve 1star. Absolutely unacceptable experience with Château Versailles while booking accommodations for our wedding weekend. From the start we clearly stated that four adults would be staying in the suite. When the suite we originally wanted was unavailable, the hotel suggested a different suite which we accepted and paid in full immediately (it was more than 2x the amount of the original one we wanted). Only after everything was finalized did we double-check occupancy ourselves and were then told the suite only allows two guests. If we had not asked, we would have arrived on our wedding weekend with four people expecting to stay there and only discovered the issue at check-in. That level of oversight is astonishing. Their “solution” was to add a cot for a third person and require us to book a second room for the fourth guest that cost nearly twice the price of the original suite. In other words, the fix for their mistake was for us to pay significantly more. Note that this would have completely ruined the night before our wedding as the goal had been to stay altogether. Several of our guests also struggled to get clear answers about valet parking (they were told that though they can pay it might not be available and the hotel could not ensure this), and some families were even told their children might need to sleep in separate rooms on different floors. For a hotel handling what was supposed to be a wedding-related group booking, the lack of organization and communication was shocking. This created unnecessary stress during wedding planning and ultimately forced us to cancel. The lack of professionalism and attention to detail is concerning, and I don’t recommend anyone look at staying at this hotel for an event or stay.

Agree with Nokey. The receptionist at 3pm on Monday March 9 was snarky to say the least. I’m a “senior senior” and when my daughter asked for someone to help me with my bag, she went on an on about our reservation. Why would we be there otherwise? Other times she was rude as well. Marina might be her name. We liked our room with the fireplace but it would have been helpful to have instructions - we did figure it out eventually.

Old world luxury with large rooms and picture windows. Very good breakfast included. Originally a private mansion converted into a hotel. Pleasant and accommodating front desk staff.
