We had a fantastic stay at Cinnamon Lodge and can highly recommend it. The hotel itself is beautiful and the location is simply impressive, surrounded by lush jungle and right next to the lake, which creates a very special atmosphere. The pool area is excellent. It is very large and includes a wonderful section for children, even for very small ones, which was perfect for our family. The rooms are very spacious and comfortable, and the bathrooms truly leave nothing to wish for. The food was also excellent. The restaurant offers a fantastic buffet for both breakfast and dinner with plenty of variety. For lunch, they also serve Western options such as sandwiches, burgers, and French fries, which was a nice option during our stay. What made our experience truly special, however, was the service. The friendliness of the staff was incredible. Every person we encountered was warm, welcoming, and helpful. As a father, I was particularly touched by how kind everyone was to our children, our three year old daughter and our one year old son. A special thank you goes to Chathurika and Manilka, who took such wonderful care of our kids, and to our room attendant Niranga, who made our room feel welcoming and perfect every single day. We left with beautiful memories and would gladly come back.

Exceptional service and hospitality. We stayed in the deluxe suites overlooking the lakes. The hotel is located on a 50 acre lot with lots of nature surrounding each room. There is small huts scattered throughout the property. Our suite has an expansive master bedroom and bath upstairs with two twin beds downstairs in its own room. As well as a lounge room and large 8-10 seat dining table. There were two toilets downstairs. Water pressure in the showers were strong and plentiful with high temp range. We had a personal butler with our room (Wasantha) who was very attentive and delivered exceptional service. We had our laundry done 49 pieces for about $40USD. All laundry came back professionally cleaned and ironed. We’d like to thank Sandeep and Heshan for their care to detail and exceptional handling of the laundry. We delivered before 10am and received it by 5pm the same day. The staff really go out of their way here to make your stay truly pleasant 5 star experience. Budget is the best in Sri Lanka with a mix of western, oriental and Sri Lankan cuisine. They have made to order stations for hoppers, Kothu roti and eggs etc. I definitely recommend staying here when visiting Sigiriya.
