Let's start with the premise that this is a modern-minded hotel where you do everything yourself, or at least most of it. When you arrive, there's no reception desk, just a table with several terminals so you can check in yourself and generate your room key cards to access the elevator. Someone will check your ID. In the room, there's an iPad that you use to control the curtains, lights, and TV. There's no space for your suitcase; you might think you can store things in the drawers under the bed, but they're already filled with pillows and a safe. There's a refrigerated drawer that looks like a refrigerator, but there are no glasses. The bed is pushed against the wall on one side, meaning you have to crawl in if you get the window seat. It's a modern hotel, but it's not for everyone. I understand that technology is appealing, but in our case, we had to sleep with a dim colored light on in the bathroom area (which had beveled glass) so we could see the person who had to crawl out of bed to use the restroom. The breakfast was a highlight, but otherwise, I'm not sure I'd return.

The hotel itself 5 stars. Now let’s share about the front desk personnel who worked 3/13/2026-3/14/2026 midnight. My daughter and I arrived late-around 1030 PM. The original person working who checked us in was very kind and sweet. Later, we brought our food down from Cava to heat up after a quick workout. My daughter was wearing a yoga outfit(since she does yoga daily) she was wearing pants, not booty shorts, and a matching long sleeve shirt. Yes, it showed her abdominal area, big deal. We counted 12 nasty, purposely focused looks of disgust with sounds of disgust as she walked by our table numerous times. First, we thought it was our food, we’ve been told at previous visits we can heat food and eat, then we thought it was because we chose to eat it downstairs, but after glare 5 we knew it was directed at my daughter. The outfit was not inappropriate whatsoever. My daughter is extremely thin. Let’s get this straight-she’s not thin because she wants to be-she’s thin from an horrible accident and traumatic brain injury and still suffers 6 years later. The hit to her head affected to area attached to sleep and eating(6years of insomnia and no hunger cues). She herself cannot stand how thin she is but she can’t help it. Her doctors recommended daily yoga and she does the best she can. How terrible it is to pay to go somewhere because you enjoyed it so much the first time and decided to spend your birthday there-just to get judged by someone who is paid to take care of guests. What a terrible start to her 25th Birthday. After the 8th glare and the stroke of midnight I was like “Happy Birthday?” Imagine being such a miserable person that you not only have to make your feelings known through uncomfortable, close up, disgusted looks, and grunts, but repeatedly doing so and not knowing the circumstances of someone’s life. Absolutely appalling.

As my husband says "This is a room for a different generation." The bed means you climb over someone if you share it to get in and out. There were no cups in the room. I had to take medication by putting water in my hand and slurping it over the sink. Had no idea it became a Marriott or I would have booked through Marriott. This appears to be a recent addition. We would only return because the location is within walking distance of the arena theater. It is very clean. The elephant art at the end of the hallway was really great.
